Current Positions:
- Lecturer, Department of Marine Science, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University - Guest Investigator, Department of Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Research Interests: Chemical Oceanography, Marine Nitrogen Cycling, Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry, Deep-sea Hydrothermal Vents |
Short Bio Sketch:
I have recently finished my PhD in Chemical Oceanography from the Joint Program run by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). My dissertation research under the supervision of Dr. Scott Wankel at WHOI was on the marine nitrogen cycling notably the production and fate of different nitrogen species in the deep-sea hydrothermal vents.
I completed my Master's degree at the School for Marine Sciences and Technology (SMAST), University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. My Master's research revolves around dissolved nitrogen gas biogeochemistry. There I worked with Prof. Mark Altabet who got me started in working with the marine nitrogen cycle. For my undergraduate education, I studied marine science at Chulalongkorn University. At a time, I worked on feeding ecology of endangered dugongs in the Andaman Sea.
